Godzilla's greatest rival, "King Ghidorah," finally descends! Prepare to be overwhelmed by the massive wings and their incredibly organic molded details right out of the box! The unimaginably fine scales and precise parts division are truly a work of art! I share my personal tips on the best assembly order to prevent breaking the delicate parts! ▼Video Details Today, I'm introducing Kaiyodo's "ARTPLA SCULPTURE WORKS King Ghidorah Re:Imagination." Ever since I saw the gray prototype at the All Japan Model Hobby Show last year, I knew I absolutely had to build this! It's the highly anticipated second release following their Godzilla kit. The box is even larger than Godzilla's, and the first thing you see inside are the massive wings resting on bubble wrap! The organic textures sculpted into the inside of the wings, the three unique heads, and the incredibly fine scales covering its body are so mesmerizing you could stare at them for hours. The challenge and joy for modelers will be figuring out how to paint this golden monster while preserving its terrifying biological feel. The manual suggests building it in the order of: neck → head → body → legs → base. However, the horns and the tips of the tails are very sharp and fragile. To avoid accidentally breaking them while handling the body, I recommend assembling the torso and legs first, securing it to the base, and attaching the delicate heads, tails, and wings at the very end. With Gamera and Mechagodzilla already announced for this series, I personally hope they make a Hedorah too! In this video, knowing full well that camera videos don't get many views (lol), I'm introducing one of my favorite heavily-used old digital cameras: the Kyocera "CONTAX SL300R T*"! ▼Highlights * Ultra-thin card-sized body with a very cool "twist-style" rotating lens! * Fast startup and great continuous shooting! Excellent lens design for great image quality. * The weaknesses: A tiny LCD and terrible battery life!? Sharing my real user experience. * The second half of the video features actual footage (selfie video) shot with the CONTAX SL300R T*! ▼Video Details Today, I'm showcasing a compact digital camera I've used so much that the matte black finish has rubbed off and turned glossy on the corners: the "CONTAX SL300R T*". Released shortly before Kyocera exited the camera business, it's a 3-megapixel masterpiece. Its biggest feature is the "twist-style" rotating lens! Despite its ultra-thin card-like body, the twist mechanism allowed for an uncompromised lens design. It boasts fast startup times and continuous shooting speeds that were impressive for its era, and it's great for selfies. By the way, it shares almost identical internals with its sister model, the Kyocera "Finecam SL300R", but the CONTAX version features a special hood that allows for attaching filters. It did have its flaws, like a tiny LCD screen and such poor battery life that I had to carry three spare batteries! But its charm and cool gadget factor more than made up for it. Recently, the unique, aesthetic look of "old digital cameras" has become very popular, so I revived the batteries and took it for a spin. The biggest surprise is that this kit is part of the "RakuPla" (1/24 scale) line! With its glue-free snap-fit design, anyone can recreate the excitement of the movie using just a pair of nippers. Opening the box, you're greeted by vibrant orange body parts. The aero parts accurately replicate the famous BOMEX design from the film! The interior utilizes RakuPla's clever "fold-up bathtub" construction, and even tiny details like boost meters are well reproduced. The front wheels also feature a working steering mechanism. The body is made of incredibly tough titanium, and artificial sapphire is used for the viewfinder glass and shutter button. I actually dropped this camera down a flight of stairs once, but thanks to the titanium shell, it only got a small dent and kept working perfectly! The lens is a Carl Zeiss "Sonnar T* 38mm F2.8". It has a strong blue tint and noticeable vignetting, but that's exactly what gives its photos such a unique, atmospheric, and cool look. I also share a funny story from my days at photography school: when I graduated at the top of my class, my prize was supposed to be a compact camera, but since I already owned this T2, I traded it for a Rotring pen from the graphic design department! The reckless idea of a rocket-propelled rolling bomb and the hilarious reasons it failed. ▼Video Details Today, I'm introducing a very unusual model that I personally love: StudioSYUTO's 1/35 scale "Panjandrum Prototype No. 1". Opening the box reveals a very simple kit consisting of only 2 runners, decals, and an instruction manual. The parts include the outer wheels, the central hub, and 18 rocket engines, making it a very quick build. The Panjandrum was essentially the ancestor of modern unmanned drones. The idea was to attach numerous rocket engines to massive wheels, sending it spinning at high speeds to crash into enemy lines and detonate the central explosive payload. However, during tests, it was a complete disaster. Without any steering mechanism, hitting a single rock would cause it to veer off course, run wild, or even turn back toward the British troops! It was deemed a failure and never saw combat. It's fascinating how the British military came up with such a crazy idea while the Germans were developing wire-guided explosive vehicles like the "Goliath". A huge thanks to StudioSYUTO for making a kit out of such a niche and obscure weapon that even major overseas manufacturers haven't touched! First up is the first release from Hasegawa's new 1/32 scale snap-fit model series, the "LB1600GT"! It's the same scale as Aoshima's RakuPla, but I'm very excited as a modeler to see how Hasegawa approaches the parts breakdown and stickers. Next, from the military section, we have Tamiya's "1/35 Flakpanzer Gepard". It's a reissue of a classic kit with remnants of its motorized past, but this uniquely shaped anti-aircraft tank will look incredibly cool if built carefully with modern techniques. From character models, we have "Alice" by X-PLUS. Surprisingly, it's an unpainted kit with pre-colored runners and even includes a tampo-printed face part! We also look at BellFine's "Space Dandy Mechanic Selection" and Revell's "1/144 Super Constellation (Super Connie)", an aircraft I personally love. For tools, the "Kuro no Ko" (Black Saw) from Z-Saw, which I previewed before, is finally released! Featuring a serial number, a walnut handle, and brass screws, it's a premium tool that satisfies the joy of ownership. Gaianotes also released a "Graduated Scribing Guide Tape" in sheet form. It prevents the annoying peeling that happens with roll tapes due to curling, making it a fantastic product designed with modelers in mind. We saw a life-size panel of this dinosaur at the recent Shizuoka Hobby Show, and it generated a lot of buzz. The box proudly displays the "Quick Lock" logo, meaning this kit snaps together without the need for any cement. Upon opening the box, you'll find that all the main parts are efficiently arranged on a single runner. The upper jaw is particularly impressive, molded in a single piece using slide molds, with the inner teeth beautifully detailed! It also includes 1/35 scale silhouettes of an adult and a child for size comparison. The full-color instruction manual is highly educational. It explains that the Fukuiraptor was a carnivorous dinosaur from about 120 million years ago discovered in Fukui Prefecture. It also shares a fascinating theory: the fossils found so far belong to an immature individual, meaning fully grown adults could have been much larger! It's also interesting that the manual explicitly states the model is based on "2026 paleontology," as our understanding of dinosaurs constantly evolves.
