The "Quick Lock" system makes assembly a breeze without glue! Perfect for 3D coloring with kids! Molded in Le Mans Green (Mint Green)! It even comes with a diorama background paper at the bottom of the box! ▼Video Details I got my hands on an early sample of Tamiya's new "Quick Lock 1/35 Dinosaur Series No.2 1/35 Fukuisaurus," scheduled for release around October 10, 2026, and I'm unboxing it right away! Following the carnivorous "Fukuiraptor," this is the second kit in a fantastic series where Tamiya collaborates with places like the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. Opening the box, you'll find a single sprue molded in a vibrant Le Mans Green. The best part of this kit is the "Quick Lock" system! You can snap it together without using any cement, making it super easy even for small children. It's packed with playful features, like a line-art background paper hidden at the bottom of the box that you can color in with colored pencils, and a 1/35 scale silhouette of a mother and daughter (the Fukuiraptor had a father and son)! Since we don't actually know what color dinosaur skin was, I highly recommend treating it like a "3D coloring book" and painting it however you like. Check out its adorable round cabin and incredibly realistic canvas cover parts! ▼Highlights * A completely new mold! Checking out the sprues of Tamiya's new 1/35 MM series "RSO/01"! * A fusion of 3D design and hand sculpting!? Amazingly realistic wrinkles on the canvas cover parts! * Packed with diorama-friendly features like snow tracks and selectable front grilles! ▼Video Details I received a pre-release sample of Tamiya's completely new "1/35 German RSO/01 Tractor" (scheduled for release around October 10, 2026), and I'm sharing an early unboxing review! While Tamiya previously sold an Italeri kit with added option parts, this one is an entirely new Tamiya mold! Despite being a rugged vehicle used on the muddy and snowy Eastern Front, its rounded cabin gives it a cute, almost civilian-car look. Looking at the kit, it has Tamiya's reliably clear parts, nicely sagged tracks (I recommend wrapping them while the cement is half-dry), and a driver figure. What really blew me away was the canvas cover part! The wrinkle texture is so realistic, it feels like they used 3D modeling and then fine-tuned it by hand. It also features selectable front grilles (with or without shutters for winter/summer) and snow tracks that can be equipped for grip, making it perfect for dioramas. It even comes with masking stickers for the windows, just like a car model! In this video, I build a pre-release sample of the highly anticipated "MGSD Kshatriya" Gunpla! Check out the incredible part count, amazing gimmicks, and some crucial building tips. ▼Highlights * An early straight-build review of the upcoming "MGSD Kshatriya"! * MG-level part count in an SD size, featuring linked armor gimmicks and a moving mono-eye. * Crucial building tips, including tricky knee pins and extremely tight binder arms. * A time-lapse of the intense "training-like" assembly of the 4 massive binders! ▼Video Details I received a pre-release sample of the "MGSD Kshatriya" from Bandai and spent a few days doing surface treatments and putting it together! Even as a straight build with zero stickers, the detail is mind-blowing. A single binder has as many parts as a High Grade (HG) kit, and the main body rivals a Master Grade (MG) in density! It's packed with gimmicks like an opening cockpit hatch (with a red Sazabi-style cockpit inside), linked knee armor, a mono-eye that moves with the head, and even clearance for LED wiring. However, there are a few things to watch out for. Make sure the pins on the knee armor align perfectly. Also, the shoulder arms holding the binders are incredibly tight and require a lot of force to assemble (my hands hurt!). The antennas and armor edges are extremely sharp, so be careful not to break them while posing. I highly recommend getting a separate action base for it since it's a space combat mobile suit. The second half of the video is a time-lapse of the lengthy building process. From their retro candy corner to their beautifully organized paints and tools, their comprehensive inventory across all genres was incredibly inspiring. In the evening, I had dinner with President Yamaguchi of Katatsumuri at "Muroran Yakitori Ippei Wakakusa Branch." We ate the famous Muroran Yakitori (made with pork and onions) while having a deep, passionate discussion about running a hobby shop. On the way back, I stopped by the "Otofuke" roadside station and visited "TRC Tokachi RC Circuit" at dusk. We talked so much that it was completely dark by the time we left! Also, as revealed at the end, this trip was actually a road trip with my mother (the previous generation's wife)! Godzilla's greatest rival, "King Ghidorah," finally descends! Prepare to be overwhelmed by the massive wings and their incredibly organic molded details right out of the box! The unimaginably fine scales and precise parts division are truly a work of art! I share my personal tips on the best assembly order to prevent breaking the delicate parts! ▼Video Details Today, I'm introducing Kaiyodo's "ARTPLA SCULPTURE WORKS King Ghidorah Re:Imagination." Ever since I saw the gray prototype at the All Japan Model Hobby Show last year, I knew I absolutely had to build this! It's the highly anticipated second release following their Godzilla kit. The box is even larger than Godzilla's, and the first thing you see inside are the massive wings resting on bubble wrap! The organic textures sculpted into the inside of the wings, the three unique heads, and the incredibly fine scales covering its body are so mesmerizing you could stare at them for hours. The challenge and joy for modelers will be figuring out how to paint this golden monster while preserving its terrifying biological feel. The manual suggests building it in the order of: neck → head → body → legs → base. However, the horns and the tips of the tails are very sharp and fragile. To avoid accidentally breaking them while handling the body, I recommend assembling the torso and legs first, securing it to the base, and attaching the delicate heads, tails, and wings at the very end. With Gamera and Mechagodzilla already announced for this series, I personally hope they make a Hedorah too! As the name suggests, it's a magnifying glass you wear on your finger. While the package suggests uses like threading needles, it's actually incredibly well-suited for building plastic models! Excellent lens design for great image quality. * The weaknesses: A tiny LCD and terrible battery life!? Sharing my real user experience. * The second half of the video features actual footage (selfie video) shot with the CONTAX SL300R T*! ▼Video Details Today, I'm showcasing a compact digital camera I've used so much that the matte black finish has rubbed off and turned glossy on the corners: the "CONTAX SL300R T*". Released shortly before Kyocera exited the camera business, it's a 3-megapixel masterpiece. Its biggest feature is the "twist-style" rotating lens! Despite its ultra-thin card-like body, the twist mechanism allowed for an uncompromised lens design. It boasts fast startup times and continuous shooting speeds that were impressive for its era, and it's great for selfies. By the way, it shares almost identical internals with its sister model, the Kyocera "Finecam SL300R", but the CONTAX version features a special hood that allows for attaching filters. It did have its flaws, like a tiny LCD screen and such poor battery life that I had to carry three spare batteries! But its charm and cool gadget factor more than made up for it. Recently, the unique, aesthetic look of "old digital cameras" has become very popular, so I revived the batteries and took it for a spin. Opening the box, you're greeted by vibrant orange body parts. The aero parts accurately replicate the famous BOMEX design from the film! The interior utilizes RakuPla's clever "fold-up bathtub" construction, and even tiny details like boost meters are well reproduced. The front wheels also feature a working steering mechanism. For the body graphics and window frames, you have the option to use either the included stickers or water-slide decals.
